Day 15: Polson to Seattle, WA

The day started with a filling continental breakfast at the Best Western in Missoula, MT. The crew then loaded the bus pointed towards Seattle, WA. A lunch stop, a short trip through Idaho, a few rest stops, and many miles later we made it to Seattle.

Upon our arrival we went to the Experience Music Project. This is a museum built to honor pop culture/art and the changes it has made over time. The building shaped much like a guitar itself houses exhibits for Jimi Hendrix, Nirvana, sci-fy, fantasy, and horror genres, as well as a studio where visitors can have their own jam sessions. The latter was among the crew's favorite EMP activities as was the horror section and the Star Wars exhibit.

The crew was allowed dinner on their own and some free time before meeting back at the hotel for fireworks. Among the favorite dinner spots was a local pizza place, P.F. Chang's, and an upscale Japanese Steakhouse that allowed them to dress up.

The firework display was held on Lake Union so the crew walked about seven blocks to Lake Union Park to enjoy the show. This year, the Lake Union show included two brand new fireworks. Many in the group exclaimed that this show was one of the largest and best displays of fireworks they have ever seen. Overall, it was a successful Independence Day.
